About Pools By John Clarkson

The Pools by John Clarkson Story

Since the 1950’s, John Clarkson has been a leader in Jacksonville’s pool industry. John began working in the family pool business in the 1960’s, and advanced to run the business through the 1970’s and 1980’s. In 1989, John founded Pools by John Clarkson to create a pool company focused on innovative products, custom designs, and more complex projects.

During the 1990’s, John attended the first Genesis 3 design school. These classes emphasized using proper design principals to create unique pools vs. building standard “cookie-cutters;” as well as an increased focus on hydraulics, innovative options, and high-quality materials. Pools by John Clarkson continues to advance this philosophy through educational classes that our Design Consultants and other team members attend each year.

One of the many milestones for Pools by John Clarkson was joining Aquatech, now United Aqua Group (UAG), in 1996. Being a member of UAG allows Pools By John Clarkson to interact directly with equipment and material manufacturers. This gives us better access and control over the products we use in our pools versus the typical pool builder who only works with distributors. In addition, being a part of a network of pool professionals from across the country creates an opportunity to learn from each other and attend educational symposiums, which helps us continuously improve. Pools by John Clarkson has been honored to serve in many roles within this large organization, including John’s time as an elected UAG board member.

In 2010, with an increase focus on life-long relationships with our clients, Pools by John Clarkson created PoolCare, a full-time service department. Along with a commitment to aesthetic functionality and high-quality materials, Pools by John Clarkson can now design, build, maintain, service, and renovate our family of pools, which now totals over 3,000 new pools in Northeast Florida!

PBJC Family – Pools by John Clarkson

Pools by John Clarkson recognizes the important role that charitable, nonprofit organizations play in the communities where we live and work. Therefore, we have established PBJC Family as a way to guide the organization’s giving to support good causes and to provide assistance to help improve the lives of employees, their families, and deserving groups within our community.

Purpose

Establish the PBJC Family Giving program that creates a mechanism for Pools by John Clarkson to support the deserving causes that are directly related to our employees, their families, and the local communities we serve.
